Jerry Alan Oubre was born April 15
Jerry Alan Oubre was born April 15, 1942, in New Iberia, Louisiana and
graduated from LSU Law School in January, 1967. While in law school Mr. Oubre
was a member of Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity and was selected as a member of
the LSU Moot Court Board of Student Advisors.
Mr. Oubre served as a member and director of New Iberia Jaycee's for several
years and was a member of the New Iberia Optimist Club, for which he has chaired
a number of committees.
Mr. Oubre is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in
Louisiana, and is a member of the Iberia Parish Bar Association, Louisiana State
Bar Association, American Bar Association and Louisiana Association of Defense
Counsel. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Louisiana
Association of Defense Counsel from 1991 to 1993. Mr. Oubre completed basic
mediator training with the Attorney-Mediators Institute at San Antonio, Texas in
1996.
